Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The knowledge and skill at Old Timers Roofing when dealing with Storm Damage and Insurance coverage is unmatched. The insurance adjusters know them by name and talk about having great experiences working with them. They have the insurance pay for the entire roof when storms strike and the work itself is excellent.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My grandma’s 91 and she doesn’t have a lot of help or understanding when it comes to things around the house so I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to take care of her roof. Wes was the most knowledgeable storm claims specialist we’ve ever met and he did such an excellent job walking us through the insurance process. The install was flawless and he was SO sweet to my grandma! He definitely won us over, we highly recommend!

every thing from start to finish. The crew worked tirelessly (in the extreme heat btw) and finished a 2 day job is one day. 10/10 would recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We have answers.

How do I know when it's time to install a new roof?

A roof may need a new installation instead of repair if it's nearing or has surpassed its expected lifespan (typically 20-30 years for asphalt shingles), if there are widespread signs of damage such as major leaks, numerous missing or damaged shingles, widespread granule loss, or if repairs are becoming increasingly frequent and costly. A professional inspection can help determine whether repair or new roof installation is the best option.

What roofing material should I choose for my new roof?

The choice of roofing material depends on several factors including your budget, the climate in your area, the style of your home, and personal preferences. Asphalt shingles are the most popular due to their cost-effectiveness and versatility, but materials like metal, tile, slate, and wood shingles offer different aesthetics, lifespans, and price points. We can help you choose the best material based on your needs and objectives.

How much does a new roof cost?

The cost of a new roof varies widely based on the size of your roof, the type of materials selected, and labor costs in your area. On average, homeowners might spend anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000 or more for a new asphalt shingle roof, with premium materials like metal, tile, or slate costing significantly more. We provide free estimates and inspections to get an accurate estimate for your specific project.

How long does it take to install a new roof?

The time frame for replacing a roof can vary from a day, a few days to a week or more, depending on the size of the roof, the type of roofing material being installed, and the weather conditions. Some materials and more complex installations may take longer. We can provide a more accurate timeline based on the specifics of your project.

Can I be home during the roof replacement process?

In most cases, you can stay in your home during the roof installation process. However, expect some noise and vibrations throughout the day as work is being done. If there are any safety concerns, or if specific parts of the installation process require vacating the premises (which is rare), we will inform you in advance so you can make appropriate arrangements.
